A yearly cash award presented to the highest placing jazz performer in the annual Penn State School of Music Scholarship Competition.

Kate Anderson

From Huntersville, Pennsylvania, Kate hopes to continue her education by enrolling in a graduate program in jazz studies after earning her bachelor’s degree. She is a student of David Stambler and Dan Yoder. She participates in Centre Dimensions, Passport Jazz Combo, Saxophone Ensemble, and a saxophone quartet. Kate was a soloist in the School of Music Mosaic in December 2012 and the recipient of an Eleanor Beene scholarship award in spring 2013. She is also the president of the Penn State Saxophone Alliance.
